Hypnotherapy for Writers

Did you know that Charles Dickens was a mesmerist (hypnotist)? In a letter to his wife, Dickens wrote that mesmerism "had become his guiding principle and the key to the ability which enabled him to create his endless galleries of true-to-life fictional characters."
John C. Hughes, "The History of Hypnotism: Charles Dickens Heads the Creative Mesmerists," Journal of Hypnotism, June 2008.
Hypnotherapy can help writers:
- reach their potential
- break through writer's block
- get into good writing habits
- be more disciplined about sending out manuscripts
- gain confidence
- cope with rejection
- generate material
- create or explore characters
- access the subconscious mind—a wellspring of ideas, images, and insight
